The shooting of the film was formally launched with puja activities by Dr D Ramanaidu. This heavy budget film was launched on a grand scale amidst several film personalities in Ramanaidu studios on 6th February.
Popular producer Ramanaidu switched on the camera, while mega producer Allu Aravind handed over the script to Maruthi. Super hit films’ director VV Vinayak sounded the clap for the film. D. Sureshbabu, Gemini Kiran, Sarat Marar, Ashokbabu, Gopichand Malineni, Bellamkonda Suresh, KS Ramarao, Paruchuri Prasad, Kona Venkat and several other promient film personalities had attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Allu Aravind says, ‘I have watched the film ‘Kotha Janta’ directed by Maruthi and I am sure that the film would be a definite super hit film. I am confident that film would get Clean U certificate from the censor board. Maruthi himself is a producer of many films. So, he involved in the production and brought out a quality film lesser than the budget. Maruthi kind of young directors should enter the film industry. When it comes to the film ‘Radha’, while hearing this film, I immediately remembered the film ‘Lakshmi’ of Venkatesh. The film was directed by VV Vinayak, who is also a producers’ director. I wish this film too would bag the same kind of hit.’
Director Vinayak says, ‘Maruthi is a well-known guy to me. He has always invited me for his films. However, this film is very special to me. Because, the film has Venkatesh babu as the hero and he had played in the lead role for my film ‘Lakshmi’ and now the film’s title is ‘Radha’, which is very catchy. I wish this film being directed by Maruthi, which would be a super hit.’
Director Maruthi says, ‘I have completed my earlier film ‘Kotha Janta’ by January 12 and the DTS works are in progress now. We will soon launch the audio of the film very soon. While I am in such a happy mood, I got a chance to work with a star hero like Venkatesh. After ‘Bus Stop’, Venkatesh called me up. From then onwards I am travelling with Venkatesh.
This movie would be a love and family action entertainer to suit his image. The audiences would watch a new Venkatesh in this film, I am sure that this film (Radha) would elevate his image for sure. Right from his dialogues and dressing style everything would be very novel. Nayantara has also got a scope to play in a role to reveal her caliber.
While doing the film ‘Kotha Janta’, Allu Aravind gave me a free hand with regards to the budget. Now, Danayya to is doing the same thing. He was asking not to compromise on the budget and only think of giving a quality movie. I am sure that I would work hard and provide a biggest hit film for Venkatesh in his career.
